
Murat Yener is an Associate Director based in Dubai. He specializes in consulting on construction projects in the areas of dispute resolution, claims preparation and analysis, Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, forensic delay analysis and project scheduling. He worked in both Singapore and Dubai offices of Secretariat and therefore had the chance to work in some of the most high-profile disputes of the Asian, Australian and Middle Eastern construction markets.
Mr. Yener has 15 years of experience in construction industry and had worked on both contractor and employer sides, which enables him to better understand the risks and challenges that are faced during the execution of a project.
Prior to joining Secretariat, Mr. Yener worked in Russia with project owners, consultants, and contractors where he was involved in tendering and initial planning of many landmark projects. He gained practical experience in construction planning and management when he worked as the Project Controls Manager of an O&G power plant project in Basra, Iraq. He also held the Deputy Prime Contract and Risk Manager position of one of the largest airport projects in the Middle East, supervising the claim preparation and arbitration processes.
Mr. Yener has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineer and a Post-graduate Diploma in Construction Law and Arbitration. He is currently pursuing his LLM/MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Society of Construction Law (SCL).
