As head of the Integrated Construction Technology department at his previous firm, Mr. Kurth oversaw corporate innovation efforts and Digital Transformation for the operations teams. Leading the implementation and adoption of advanced technology and integrated workflows focused on field operations and preconstruction/design management services.
In his previous role, Mr. Kurth drove strategic initiatives to guide the identification and adoption of new technologies and processes within company business units. Additionally, he was responsible for virtual design and construction (VDC) preconstruction to lead the integration of technology & preconstruction practices and was additionally responsible for VDC operations to leverage workflows that mitigate risk on sites. Mr. Kurth conducted research and development to identify and develop new technologies and lead the integration of core systems within the business to gain efficiencies & eliminate waste, created career development processes that established career paths for construction professionals, and integrating VDC workflows into the core competencies of engineering staff.
Mr. Kurth has experience leading multidiscipline teams focused on integrated design and construction workflows that are leveraged throughout the entire lifecycle of a construction project, from design and estimating, to construction execution and project handover. Working on projects across North America, Mr. Kurth focused on leveraging BIM & advanced technologies to enhance delivery and manage risk. He has worked directly in structuring project agreements and contracts.
