Jennifer Chan is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in construction dispute resolution specialising in quantum analysis and arbitration support. Ms. Chan has worked on a wide range of infrastructure, building, M&E, oil & gas projects around the world in Asia, the Middle East, and Australasia. She is experienced in collaborating with international clients, legal teams, and expert witnesses from the onset of claims through the completion of arbitration proceedings.
Ms. Chan regularly acts as a lead assistant to support quantum experts in international arbitration and mediation. Her responsibilities include providing contract advice, analysing and quantifying construction claims, as well as preparing expert reports and rebuttals. Ms. Chan has a broad experience in dealing with a diverse array of claims including: variations, measurement issues, delay and disruption, acceleration, loss and damages claims, contract termination and construction defects.
Before joining Secretariat, Ms. Chan was employed by an international construction consulting firm providing commercial and contract management services to developers and contractors. During this time, she provided support to quantum experts in preparing complex construction claims and also acted as the quantity surveyor for various building and civil engineering projects in Hong Kong and Macau.
