Software & Services Disputes & Advisory Work

Implementation

Mr. Crouse has extensive experience leading and evaluating complex systems implementations, with a focus on diagnosing and remediating failed or underperforming programs. He has successfully delivered more than 50 large-scale initiatives ranging from $250,000 to $550 million, many of which involved multi-vendor, global delivery environments, and the integration of custom and commercial software. This experience forms the foundation of his work in services disputes, where he is frequently engaged by global organizations — including governmental entities and public companies — to determine how and why implementations fail, breakdown, or underperform.

Mr. Crouse has been retained on numerous engagements to assess broken or at-risk programs, including seven formal project remediation efforts and 26 system assessments focused on identifying gaps in delivery, architecture, and execution. He has led initiatives to develop implementation methodologies and driven transformation efforts directly tied to system failures, including modernizing paper-based banking operations, redesigning compliance processes, and restructuring back-office operating models. His work centers on assessing execution, identifying root cause, evaluating performance against expectations, and providing clear, data-driven perspectives on complex implementation failures.

Outsourcing

Mr. Crouse advises on matters involving outsourced technology delivery models, with particular expertise in evaluating vendor performance, governance structures, and multi-party execution failures. He has led operational and process improvement efforts, including business process outsourcing initiatives, where delivery performance and service outcomes were central issues.

Mr. Crouse has designed and built outsourcing capabilities for organizations across industries, giving him direct insight into how these models are structured — and how they break down. Combined with his experience in large-scale, multi-vendor environments, Mr. Crouse provides a practical perspective on accountability, service delivery failures, and the root causes of breakdowns in outsourced technology engagements.

Technology Intellectual Property Disputes & Advisory Work
