Ms. Peevey has more than 25 years of experience in the engineering and construction industries specializing in building enclosure related matters for owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, manufacturers, sureties and other stakeholders.
Amy Peevey is a Managing Director with Secretariat’s Houston office. She has over 25 years of experience assisting owners, contractors, designers, manufacturers, and other construction professionals with the successful implementation of building-related performance requirements during project planning and design, construction, and post-occupancy. She routinely provides consulting services to mitigate project risk, overcome problems, and evaluate building science/enclosure and structural design, construction, and related performance to yield successful project outcomes, as well as provides litigation support.
As a professional engineer specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of building enclosures, related materials, and structural systems, Ms. Peevey supports projects throughout their entire lifecycle. Her diverse and extensive experience includes planning, design, investigation/evaluation, repair, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of structural, architectural, and material-related issues for the built world.
Ms. Peevey has also provided litigation support, including testifying in state and federal court on many projects throughout the United States. Within the engineering community, she has been an active member of several professional societies and has published and presented on building science and/or building enclosure-related topics throughout her career.
Recently, Ms. Peevey served as the President of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) during her service on the IIBEC Executive Committee from 2020 through 2025. She continues to serve as Vice Chair of the IIBEC Education Committee and is a member of the IIBEC Technical Activities Committee.
