He has worked on over 50 international disputes, including expert appointments in ICSID, ICC, SCC, AAA, and ad hoc arbitrations.
Mr. Dekker’s clients include Fortune 500 companies, small family-owned businesses, sovereign nations, and multilateral institutions. His experience includes engagements around the globe in various industries, including oil & gas, power, mining, manufacturing, maritime, financial services, telecommunications, real estate development, agribusiness, and tobacco.
In addition to his experience as an expert in international disputes, Mr. Dekker has also been retained as a strategic advisor on the acquisition and sale of assets.
Mr. Dekker joined Secretariat in August 2021 following Secretariat’s acquisition of Versant Partners, where he had been a Principal for more than three years. Before working at Versant, he spent nearly ten years in the international arbitration practice at a publicly-traded consulting firm.
