Mr. Lim advises clients on complex digital investigations, disputes, and regulatory matters involving large, cross-border data environments and sensitive information. He is regularly engaged to help clients manage matters subject to court and regulatory scrutiny, including disputes, regulatory investigations, employment and shareholder matters, intellectual property issues, and post-breach response efforts involving personally identifiable information (PII).
Mr. Lim’s work centres on forensic data preservation, digital investigations, and the management of end-to-end eDiscovery workflows, including advanced analytics and technology-assisted review. He is frequently called upon in matters requiring defensible methodologies, efficient execution under compressed timelines, and coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
Before joining Secretariat, Mr. Lim held senior roles at specialist forensic and eDiscovery consultancies and previously worked at a global financial institution, where he supported internal investigations and worked closely with legal, compliance, and privacy teams. This experience informs his practical, commercially focused approach to advising clients operating in highly regulated environments.
Mr. Lim is known for translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable advice for legal and business stakeholders and has delivered guest lectures on digital forensics and eDiscovery at multiple academic institutions as part of professional and academic programmes.
