Mr. Miś has more than 20 years of experience advising counsel, boards, committees, and corporate clients in complex disputes, investigations, and high-stakes financial matters. His work sits at the intersection of digital assets, forensic accounting, valuation, and litigation consulting, with a particular focus on blockchain, cryptocurrency, tokenized ecosystems, and crypto mining operations.

Mr. Miś specializes in complex financial consulting engagements involving disputes, investigations, and high-stakes financial matters, advising legal counsels, boards of directors, corporate committees, and institutional clients across financial services, banking, blockchain, digital assets, fintech, energy, utilities, pharmaceuticals, government, and related sectors.

In his current and prior roles, Mr. Miś has managed forensic and fraud investigations, economic damages assessments, financial modeling engagements, digital asset matters, restructuring engagements, and compliance assessments. His work frequently involves matters subject to regulatory scrutiny, including presentations to the SEC and DOJ and expert analysis in litigation. He has served as a fact witness in federal court and provided deposition testimony in an expert capacity.

Mr. Miś has deep expertise in blockchain and digital assets, financial modeling, forensic accounting, and complex data analytics. His extensive experience covers valuations and damage assessments in cryptocurrency disputes, securities litigation, and commercial disputes. His experience also includes cryptocurrency fund investigations, blockchain forensic tracing, reconstruction of crypto flows, and digital assets market analysis. He has advised on token economics, crypto mining operations and infrastructure, ICO-related regulatory issues, and digital assets accounting and tax matters. His work also includes valuation and damages analyses involving crypto businesses and infrastructure, on-chain and cross-chain activity analysis, evaluation of DeFi liquidity events, and rebuttal of expert opinions relating to digital assets markets, causation, and damages.

Among his notable engagements, Mr. Miś was retained by the U.S. Department of Justice as a cryptocurrency mining expert in a high-profile $577 million crypto Ponzi scheme, contributing to a successful prosecution, guilty pleas, and substantial asset forfeitures, and supporting financial investigations that led to significant asset recovery. He has also advised mining companies, hosting providers, and other digital assets market participants.

Before joining Secretariat, Mr. Miś was a Senior Director at a large multinational consultancy, where he specialized in securities disputes and forensic accounting. Earlier in his career, he worked at a global forensic accounting and financial consulting firm. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he holds an M.S. in Financial Analysis and a B.A. in Finance from Portland State University, as well as a B.S. in Accounting and Taxation from the College of Banking in Toruń, Poland. He is an active member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Portland and has published articles addressing blockchain applications in privacy, risk management in decentralized finance, and asset valuation strategies. Mr. Miś is also a native Polish speaker.
