​​Rick Eichmann is a trusted economic expert with more than 25 years of experience and a strong record of testifying in complex commercial litigation and arbitration. He has deep expertise in damages analysis, IP, commercial, and class action disputes across a wide range of industries, including automotive, airline, energy, credit card, gaming, life sciences, and technology.

Known for his clarity and analytical rigor, Rick Eichmann is an in-demand testifying expert with a successful track record—his opinions have never been excluded in federal court. He combines advanced analytic methods with business insight to deliver clear, defensible results in high-stakes matters. 

​​Mr. Eichmann has filed expert reports and provided testimony in federal and state courts, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations. His testimony spans a range of complex commercial disputes and reflects deep command of statistical methods, sampling, survey design, business valuation, and econometrics as they relate to the quantification of damages and lost profits. 

​Prior to joining Secretariat, Mr. Eichmann was a Senior Managing Director at a global economic consulting firm, where he served as Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice and Head of its San Francisco office. He led high-profile engagements across a wide range of industries, providing economic damages and dispute advisory services. His earlier experience includes roles at a boutique litigation consulting firm and two Big 4 accounting firms. He also worked as an analyst in the automotive industry, applying proprietary survey data to time series modeling, and as a research assistant at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research, focusing on large-scale panel survey studies.
