Michael Garibaldi is an experienced leader in forensic accounting and dispute advisory, guiding global clients through high-stakes investigations and litigation matters. He applies deep expertise in forensic accounting, financial fraud, economic damages, compliance, and technical accounting to help clients navigate complex business challenges.

Mr. Garibaldi has nearly 20 years of experience advising clients across industries, from global financial institutions to early-stage technology companies. He provides financial and accounting analysis in high-stakes disputes in federal and state courts and in arbitration. His work routinely involves commercial and securities litigation matters concerning complex financial transactions, accounting and auditing issues, breach of contract claims, valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and the assessment of economic damages.

Mr. Garibaldi is frequently engaged by outside counsel, boards of directors, and company management to investigate financial reporting and employee misconduct issues stemming from whistleblower allegations, government inquiries, and independent auditor concerns. Mr. Garibaldi has presented his investigative findings to key government agencies, including the SEC, DOJ, and FBI.

Mr. Garibaldi is a Certified Public Accountant and previously served as Chair of the Forensic Services – Fraud and Financial Investigations section of the California Society of CPAs. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with honors from California Polytechnic State University, where he concentrated in public accounting and financial management. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University, where he taught a forensic accounting course on conducting independent corporate financial investigations.
