Mark Podeschi is an experienced accounting professional, providing analysis and managing staff to support experts in a variety of forensic accounting, general accounting, financial investigation, dispute, and valuation matters with an emphasis on intellectual property. His experiences span multiple industries, with an emphasis on heavy industry, food and beverage manufacturing and distribution, retail and hospitality, real estate, and technology.
Before joining Secretariat, Mr. Podeschi spent several years serving as an in-house accountant for publicly and privately-held businesses, including leading large teams in the performance of all general accounting matters for the entity. He has extensive experience in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings, maintenance of company books, complex accounting transactions and implementations, and internal management of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Before his work as in-house accountant, Mr. Podeschi began his career with FTI Consulting gaining experience by assisting in a variety of matters including breach of contract disputes, whistleblower allegations, preparation of complex insurance claims, and numerous intellectual property valuation matters.
Mr. Podeschi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Illinois. He was a recipient of the 2015 Elijah Watt Sells Award, issued by the AICPA in recognition of outstanding performance on the Uniform CPA Examination.
