Conrad Bromley specialises in the valuation of damages, disruption and loss of productivity, variations, defects, and claims for acceleration and mitigation. He has more than 20 years of experience in international construction and engineering projects in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australasia.
Mr. Bromley provides commercial advice on formal dispute resolution, claims preparation, and contract administration services for clients across varied sectors ranging from rail and mass transport to pipelines and marine wharfs. He is regularly appointed as a quantum expert on complex domestic and international construction and engineering projects. Who’s Who Legal 2019 recognizes Mr. Bromley as a future leader, describing him as “…a knowledgeable adviser and seasoned expert witness in complex disputes, with 20 years’ experience in the construction industry [who] displays remarkable talent in acting as testifying expert in complex construction quantum and delay disputes”.
Starting his construction contracting career in various roles, Mr. Bromley moved into consultancy work in 2007 when he relocated to the Middle East, working extensively on large-scale construction and engineering projects throughout the EMEA region. Before joining Secretariat, he helped lead HKA’s expert service practice in the Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Bromley is Honorary Treasurer of the UAE Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an occasional arbitrator. He is an arbitrator panel member for ABTA and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators ‘Business Arbitration Scheme’, and to date has been appointed by ABTA as sole arbitrator on more than 25+ occasions.
