Christopher Robinson is a Managing Director and testifying expert in Secretariat’s Chicago office with nearly 20 years of experience providing financial advisory, valuation and accounting services to boards, independent trustees, corporate management, internal counsel, and external counsel.
Mr. Robinson is routinely retained by counsel in litigation to quantify damages, perform valuations under various standards and premises of value, and to conduct forensic and technical accounting related analyses. His practice involves the application of accounting guidance and valuation standards to the evidentiary requirements of Federal, State, Bankruptcy, and U.S. Tax Courts, as well as international arbitration forums. He has provided expert testimony on economic damages, technical accounting, and valuation issues and has served as a neutral expert, issuing binding written determinations regarding the fair market value of contested partnership interests.
In addition to litigation support, Mr. Robinson advises board committees, financial institutions, and diverse business entities on financial reporting, corporate governance, and financial crime. His experience includes the preparation of financial statements under the applicable financial reporting standards and requirements, assisting in internal investigations into executive and employee misconduct, remediating AML/BSA deficiencies for global financial institutions, and performing forensic accounting analyses for a variety of purposes.
