Christopher Larkin has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a chartered civil engineer and holds a law degree with deep arbitration qualifications. Mr. Larkin has been appointed frequently as a planning expert witness and has acted as an assistant expert witness on delay and quantum matters worldwide.
His experience spans numerous complex projects, including large-scale infrastructure, building schemes, shipbuilding projects, rail projects, mechanical and electrical installations, and various civil engineering schemes. He has experience in mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and major litigation proceedings. He regularly works with leading international law firms, contractors, employers, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders involved in major construction projects.
He routinely conducts delay analysis, quantum analysis, evidence management, and claims evaluation and leads the forensic investigation into causes of delay and the analysis of large quantities of complex data. His experience spans several countries and regions, including Canada, the UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Middle East.
Mr. Larkin is a notable industry thought leader, earning recognition in Who’s Who Legal’s Thought Leaders Global Elite – Construction Experts 2023. He has given several presentations, most notably practical completion, liquidated damages, extensions of time, and aspects of UAE law. Construction Week, a Middle East weekly publication, has published several of Mr. Larkin’s articles.
