​​Carol Kaiser advises counsel and clients on high-stakes technology investigations, disputes, and damages matters, including those arising from AI-enabled systems. With more than 20 years of experience, Carol specializes in leading investigations on failed software implementations, technology trade secret or intellectual property misappropriation, and outsourced technology services, as well as opining on damages related to technology disputes.

​​Ms. Kaiser works with clients to address complex technology-related disputes and investigations. She serves as a trusted advisor to legal teams and C-suite executives, helping them assess critical failures and develop informed strategies for litigation or contract renegotiations. She is frequently engaged on matters involving failed software implementations, technology‑related IP disputes, and outsourced technology services to help legal teams evaluate risk, assess damages, and respond appropriately.

​As artificial intelligence has become increasingly integrated into enterprise systems, Ms. Kaiser’s work has expanded to address disputes and investigations involving AI‑enabled technologies. She is experienced in investigating allegations of AI washing, conducting pre-acquisition evaluations of AI or other software capabilities, and evaluating software capabilities—including AI related—in post-acquisition disputes. Ms. Kaiser works with a team of experts who are able to testify generally about the technology or about specific aspects.

​Drawing upon a multidisciplinary background in finance, accounting, change management, IT, and HR management, Ms. Kaiser possesses a deep understanding of how complex technology programs are designed, implemented, and delivered—enabling her to advise on technology-related investigations and disputes from both the client and provider perspectives. Her unique perspective allows her to translate complex technology issues into digestible language best used in dispute and litigation matters both domestically and internationally.

​Ms. Kaiser’s experience spans a wide range of industries and sectors, including healthcare, financial services, sports, retail, manufacturing, and travel. She is engaged by clients on matters around the world, including in Australia, Singapore, Latin America, the UK, Canada, and the United States.

​Ms. Kaiser holds a BA in Finance from the University of Portland and a MAcc from the University of Oregon. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Oregon.
