Alex Ho specialises in consulting on construction projects in the area of delay analysis. Mr. Ho has 23 years of experience in planning and programming duties in the construction industry. Mr. Ho worked as a planning engineer during his first 7 years of his career in an engineering consulting firm (Arup). In this role, he was responsible for various planning and programming tasks both at the design office and construction site. His duties encompassed conducting feasibility studies to assess project constructability, reviewing and providing feedback on the planning and programming submissions as well as method statements from contractors, monitoring the progress of works in relation to the Detailed Works Programme, identifying deviations and problematic areas, evaluating the adequacy of manpower, plant, and equipment, and assessing time-related claim submissions such as extension of time (EOT) and disruption claims made by the contractors. Furthermore, he provided recommendations to the Engineer based on his assessments.
Over the past 16 years, Mr. Ho has dedicated his expertise to delay analysis and providing dispute resolution services to clients across diverse projects in sectors such as building construction, civil engineering, infrastructure and railway, and oil and gas. He has extensive experience in carrying out independent assessment of time-related issues; preparation of time-related claim and defence. Furthermore, Mr. Ho has been appointed as an expert witness in programming on multiple occasions. He has experience in preparing expert reports and has provided oral evidence in arbitration proceeding.
Mr. Ho is proficient with the use of project planning software such as Primavera, Microsoft Projects as well as various presentation and graphics packages.
