Adam Rhoten brings over a decade of consulting experience in economic damages and the valuation of intellectual property and intangible assets. His practice focuses on quantifying damages in complex commercial disputes, including patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and breach of contract cases. Adam has provided expert analysis on lost profits, reasonable royalties, and FRAND/RAND licensing, serving clients across various industries such as telecommunications, consumer products, software, and medical devices.
Prior to joining Secretariat, Adam served as the Director of Operations for a thermal engineering firm that designed cooling solutions for high-powered electric devices. He has also contributed to thought leadership in the field, co-authoring and presenting on topics like autonomous vehicle economics, PFAS litigation, and intellectual property fundamentals. His work has supported clients such as Facebook, Cisco, and Motorola in high-stakes litigation.
Adam holds a BA in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. He is an active member of professional organizations, including the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and the Licensing Executive Society (LES). Additionally, he serves as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Monetization and Valuation Committee and is a member of the Board of Advisors at the University of San Francisco School of Management.
