He has provided valuation services in connection with international arbitrations, commercial litigation, insurance litigation, tax assessment, mergers and acquisitions, and internal strategic purposes. He has broad industry experience, including automotive, mining, oil and gas, health care, technology, financial services, real estate, and retail franchising.
Mr. Mittal has prepared expert opinion reports on valuation and economic damages issues in disputes before the courts in Canada, the United States, Australia, and India; as well as in international arbitration matters involving commercial arbitrations and investor-state arbitrations including the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Mr. Mittal has provided oral testimony in international arbitral matters.
Before joining Secretariat, Mr. Mittal was a consultant in a global consulting firm’s strategy and transaction advisory practice, where he specialized in business valuation, financial modeling, and transaction advisory services. He was also formerly an accountant in the audit and advisory group at a Big Four accounting firm, providing audit and assurance services to multinational corporations and financial institutions.
