Secretariat is proud to sponsor the Secretariat at the DRI 2026 Product Liability Meeting and to contribute to this year’s program through multiple speaking engagements and interactive demonstrations.

On Wednesday, February 18, Farheen Khan will co-present at the Construction Devices and Building Products breakout alongside Timothy Freeman of Gallo Vitucci Klar and Jesika French of Bobcat. Their session, “The Duty That Never Ends: Post-Sale Warnings and Boundless Liability,” will examine the expanding post-sale duty to warn and manufacturers’ liability after a product enters the market. The panel will address when a post-sale duty is triggered, what compliance requires, and how courts evaluate reasonableness, user identifiability, feasibility of warnings, and human factors in defining the limits of responsibility.

On Thursday, February 18, Managing Director Eric Guyer will present a Quick Hits session titled “Actuator Failure in Solar Tracking Systems: Design and Durability Lessons.” Drawing from a real-world premature failure, Eric will explore how design and material selection decisions contributed to corrosion under expected environmental exposure. He will also discuss how early engineering and testing decisions influence long-term reliability, maintenance costs, and potential liability exposure.

On Friday, February 20, Jonathan Jordan and Andrew Lynch will lead two interactive product demonstrations designed for corporate clients, engineering partners, and industry experts. Through live demonstrations, real-world applications, and collaborative discussion, participants will gain practical strategies and stronger technical tools to elevate their defense practice.
