Mr. Brown is regularly appointed as a quantum expert in mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation. He has provided oral testimony (including the provision of evidence concurrently) and been cross-examined in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and arbitration proceedings. He has also presented evidence in mediations.
Mr. Brown has significant experience in estimating first principles, for estimating all classes prior to tender, and for assessing variation and claim during and following construction. He has developed and audited CAPEX estimates for mining process plants and associated infrastructure in Australia and around the world. His experience in contract management and claims preparation, including strategic claims advice and negotiation strategies, has helped major contractors and asset owners achieve positive outcomes.
Recognized by Who’s Who Legal, Mr. Brown is lauded for his “practical, but thorough approach to matters” and is widely regarded as “a very strong construction expert”.
