
Joe Skilton has over ten years of experience as an economic and financial consultant, providing advice and expertise to clients in large, high-profile litigation and international arbitration matters. He has worked across many sectors including oil and gas, banking, mining, energy, manufacturing, financial services, construction, telecommunications and IT.
Mr. Skilton’s expertise includes the quantification of damages, business and asset valuation, the assessment of losses in contractual disputes and complex financial modeling. He has been instructed as an expert on quantum issues in ICSID and LCIA arbitrations, in the High Court and in mediation. He also has significant experience of supporting clients through the dispute process, focusing on quantum and commercial aspects of the case and analysis, including the creation of complex financial models.

Prior to Secretariat, Mr. Skilton was a member of Versant Partners (acquired by Secretariat) and worked in the disputes practice of an international consulting and expert services firm. He holds a Masters degree from Birmingham University in Mathematical Sciences, is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA) and a practicing associate of the Academy of Experts.
