Dr. Albert’s work focuses on the economic analysis of antitrust and competition issues, and damages analysis.

Jason Albert’s work focuses on the economic analysis of antitrust and competition issues and damages analysis. Before joining Secretariat, Dr. Albert was a staff economist in the Antitrust Division at the Department of Justice for four years, where he analyzed antitrust issues in the healthcare, media, cybersecurity, and construction industries. While much of his work has involved mergers, he has expertise in other competition issues, including collusion and monopolization.

Dr. Albert has published peer-reviewed research in the International Journal of Industrial Organization and taught graduate-level courses in microeconomics at Georgetown University and George Washington University.
