
Mr. Moes is a senior testifying expert with the Disputes and Forensics practice of Secretariat. He has extensive consulting experience in commercial litigation, forensic investigations, bankruptcy and restructuring, tax litigation and complex damage analysis and modeling. Mr. Moes regularly testifies in court and arbitration, including U.S. Federal and Tax Court, state courts and ICC, AAA and LCIA arbitration forums and has advised Boards as an independent forensic accountant. His testimony experience includes commercial damages, lost profits, post-acquisition accounting and valuation disputes and specific accounting and financial issues in distressed investment companies.
In his 35 year career, he has consulted and provided expert testimony in a number of high-profile tax controversy matters, including transfer pricing, capital structure and intangible asset accounting. His clients in this area include Commodore, Seagate, National Semiconductor, Nestle, UPS, Tyco and Tribune Media. Mr. Moes has experience across many industries, with particular focus on investment advisory, manufacturing, technology and wholesale/retail.
Prior to joining Secretariat, Mr. Moes held senior leadership positions and served clients globally with Ankura and Navigant. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen and became an equity partner in their Strategy, Finance and Economics practice.
