
Brendan is an Associate Director at Secretariat in the Damages and Forensic Investigations practice and is based in Atlanta. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation granted by the CFA Institute and specializes in security and business valuation. Mr. Porter has more than 8 years of experience in the preparation of expert reports on the topic of business valuation and economic damages in the context of litigation and international arbitration.
Mr. Porter’s experience covers assets and business interests in a wide range of industries including: mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, real estate, aerospace and financial services. He has prepared numerous expert reports in international arbitration under the rules of the ICC, LCIA, ICDR, and ICSID as well as litigation in US Federal and State courts. Mr. Porter has analyzed more than a hundred businesses for the purposes of assessing valuation, solvency, mergers & acquisition analyses, and more.
Prior to joining Secretariat, Mr. Porter was a Senior Associate at a boutique expert witness firm in Boston, where he specialized in business valuation, securities litigation and damages quantification primarily in the context of US litigation.
