Mr. Allan is a qualified quantity surveyor and an RICS Accredited Expert Witness with more than 17 years of international experience in construction and engineering.
Stuart Allan is a qualified quantity surveyor and an RICS Accredited Expert Witness with more than 17 years of international experience in construction and engineering.
Mr. Allan is a testifying quantum expert witness specialising in construction and engineering disputes, including the valuation of claims for damages in several jurisdictions, variations under standard and bespoke forms of contract, disruption, and acceleration. He is also experienced in final accounts, remeasurement and quantity surveying principles. His experience has been gained across various sectors and has included projects in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Algeria, and South Africa.
He regularly acts as Quantum Expert on complex domestic and international construction and engineering projects. He leads teams in relation to the resolution of high-value international arbitrations, matters referred to dispute adjudication boards, and matters referred to dispute review boards.

Based in the Middle East for the past nine years, Mr. Allan has worked extensively on large-scale construction and engineering projects throughout the EMEA region. He has worked on party-appointed matters, including appointments from employers, contractors, and subcontractors. He has also worked on tribunal-appointed engagements.
Mr. Allan’s portfolio of experience reaches various sectors, including airports, coal fired power stations, highways, oil & gas installations, carbon dioxide capture and injection facilities, large industrial plant installations, schools, housing developments, industrial buildings, hotels, and skyscrapers.
Mr. Allan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the United Arab Emirates as serves as the Honorary Treasurer.
