Who we are NOT
- We’re not Secretariat the Triple Crown-winning racehorse. And no, we don’t advise racehorses.
- We’re not the people designing the skyscraper, manufacturing the product, or running the company. We’re the people asked to figure out what happened, or how to respond, when things don’t go according to plan.
- We’re not a law firm, though we spend lots of time working alongside attorneys on their most complex disputes, investigations, and regulatory matters. When a case involves questions of economics, finance, engineering, construction, data, or technical evidence, we’re the experts brought in to analyze them and explain what they mean.
Degrees and majors we seek
- Civil engineering, construction management, building construction, architecture, scheduling, and related fields – for people who know that “the project is delayed” is not an explanation; it is the beginning of an investigation.
- Engineering majors including materials science, mechanical, civil/structural, geotechnical, electrical, environmental, and similar technical majors – for people who enjoy explaining why things worked, failed, cracked, bent, overheated, or otherwise became someone’s very expensive problem.
- Accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, and other quantitative fields – for people who see a spreadsheet and think, “Finally, something that makes sense.”
- Advanced degrees, including master’s degrees and PhDs in economics or other highly analytical fields, are also welcome – especially if your idea of fun includes econometrics, research, and translating complex models into clear explanations.
