Mr. Donaldson is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and RICS Registered Expert Witness, with experience in construction, engineering, and oil & gas projects.

Scott Donaldson is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and RICS Registered Expert Witness, with experience in construction, engineering, and oil & gas projects. He specializes in the analysis of quantum, including the assessment of prolongation, final accounts, damages, disruption, acceleration, termination, and any other quantity surveying matters. 

In addition, Mr. Donaldson has worked for main contractors, leading teams on major EPIC projects and responsible for all commercial and contractual matters, including dispute avoidance and resolution. He has worked on projects in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. 

 He is conversant with various contracts, pre- and post-contract, including FIDIC, LOGIC Marine Construction, JCT, NEC, and bespoke forms. His experience has been gained in a wide range of sectors, including oil & gas, marine, coalfired power stations, nuclear, highways, and building works. 

Mr. Donaldson leans on his experience working on major projects with contractors and consultancies to provide clients with reasonable, yet practical advice, to avoid and resolve construction disputes. 

He has carried out in-depth research at the undergraduate and masters levels, producing dissertations, specifically on the role of the expert. He holds an LLM in Construction Law & Arbitration and a BSc (Hons.) in Quantity Surveying. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (FCInstCES), and Member of the Association of Cost Engineers (MACostE).
